Case Study: Prairie Jewel
Prairie Jewel is a talented up and coming folk ensemble with whom we have had the pleasure of working on numerous occasions. The process began in early 2008, with the creation of a web site and promotional card. With them came a new logo (thanks in great part to the beautiful Porcelain font) and the beginning of the group's brand definition. The design was rustic, with rich blue textures and worn golden highlights. The website featured an interactive Flash photo gallery and conservative jQuery menu animations.
2009 saw the release of a new website for the musicians, together with business cards, promotional pins, and a custom Myspace page. The new colour scheme reflected the evolving image of Prairie Jewel, while maintaining a continuous layout and feel. A PHP backend was added and the Flash photo gallery was upgraded in order to facilitate updates. The site content is now managed entirely by the band.
